I have a few more weeks left before I retire. My attitude has improved because I know the end is in sight. I am already celebrating the hoops I won’t have to jump through anymore. No more mandatory tests. No more meetings. Soon I won’t be screamed at. The relief is palpable.
People have asked me where I’m going. “You’re too young to retire.”
“I’m going home. I’ll go to church more, clean the house, spend more time with the grandkids. I’ll write a book.”
