The rutzblahs

I admit it, I’m in a rut. I am on the tail end of being sick for 3 weeks. I’ve gained weight. I can’t walk at home because of my creepy neighbor’s dog. Our kitten died. I miss the grands. Just wah. Wah. Wah. I usually have the doldrums after the holidays,  not before. A cold front with rain is coming through. So what can I do?

1. Prayer helps.

2. Journaling and nurturing gratitude helps.

3. Helping others is a surefire way to get out of a rut. 

There is a guy on fb who is the voice of local hunger issues. He puts a need on blast, and people help where they can. So I am going to cook up some rice and beans and deliver it tomorrow. Here we are with barely enough money to get through Friday,  but we are blessed to have enough to help others. I’m not feeling so down anymore.
